In this edition, we are pleased to announce the opportunity to apply for a TCRN Conference & Professional Development Grant, applications will close at 5:00pm on 30 October 2017.
We also run through a recap of recent events, share the details of upcoming events, interview one of our Travel Grant recipients from Round 1 of 2017 and advise you all of the upcoming 4th collaboration survey because you will all receive the invitation to participate within the next few weeks. Finally, we have some recent publications from TCRN Members to share with you.

Recap of 'Life After a PhD Workshop: Navigating a Cancer Career Pathway'
Under the TCRN’s 2025 Cancer Workforce and Capacity Building flagship, the TCRN organised a PhD Career Pathway Workshop in collaboration with the Implementation Science Community of Practice, a half-day intensive workshop for doctoral students in fields relating to cancer research.

Randwick Precinct Cancer Roundtable Program
10 October 2017 – Cancer Genomics presented by Professor Susan Ramus and facilitated by Dr Jason Wong.
28 November 2017 – Initiating Early Phase Clinical Cancer Trials presented by Dr Mark Polizzotto and facilitated by Professor John Pimanda.
A light lunch will be available from 12pm. The round table will start at 12.30pm.
TCRN Travel story | Phil Haywood 2017 R2 Conference & Professional Development Grant
Phil Haywood has recently attended the iHEA (International Health Economics Association) conference as part of his professional development, to collaborate with and present to his fellow health economists.
In this monthly article, the TCRN Operations & Projects team use on-line tools to identify publications attributed to TCRN members. We are using Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature as our primary source.
