The Translational Cancer Research Network (TCRN) is a Translational Cancer Research Centre (TCRC) funded by the Cancer Institute NSW. Based at UNSW Sydney, the TCRN’s collaborative partners include UTS, Macquarie University, South East Sydney Local Health District, George Institute for Global Health and Border Medical Oncology. Led by Conjoint Professor David Goldstein, Senior Staff Specialist at Prince of Wales Hospital, the TCRN’s aim is to bridge the gap between centres of academic and clinical excellence. With over 350 members from across these organisations, the TCRN is building capacity in the future cancer workforce through the following flagships:
“The TCRN is unique, our research program spans the entire continuum of care including primary care and survivorship. Our program is designed to support and develop the next generation of cancer researchers, we are particularly proud to be supporting nurses and allied health staff to undertake postgraduate research across the translational pipeline” says TCRN Director, Professor Goldstein.
