About Stella Jun

Stella holds a Bachelor’s degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Management from the School of Public Health and Community Medicine (SPHCM), UNSW.

In the United States, Stella was involved in implementing and designing of various stages of a women’s cancer research project with the School of Public Health at UC Berkeley and a local health clinic in Oakland, California. She has over 15 years of experience in health program management in tobacco control and health care access in not-for-profit organizations.

Stella has organised numerous cultural events, health conferences and media campaigns at local and state-wide levels. Her experience includes recruiting and training over 500 volunteers from diverse cultural and age groups.

She has worked with youth and young adults on anti-tobacco campaigns especially on tobacco sponsorship at cultural and youth events and trained high school students to present tobacco health resolutions at local and national Republican and Democratic Committees.

Her role at the TCRN

Stella has been working as a Project Officer at the TCRN since 2012.  She has been managing the in-house consumer advisory panel and consumer engagement activities. She has developed and managed both Conference and Professional Development Grants and PhD top-up scholarships for students at UTS and UNSW. She leads the PhD Skills and Development program and organises the annual PhD Workshops and bi-annual consumer-researcher workshops.

Stella provides project support to three new TCRN flagships as well: 2025 Cancer Workforce Development, Hereditary Cancer Research and Continuum of Cancer Care.
