AIHI Seminar: Taking Innovation to the Bedside to Improve Outcomes: Empowered Improvers at Cincinnati Children's

21 April 2017
Macquarie University_

Speaker: Dr Stephen E. Muething, Professor, University of Cincinnati Department of Pediatrics, FULBRIGHT SCHOLAR

At Cincinnati Children’s part of our journey to transform our organization involves decreasing the time from discovery to improved outcomes for patients and families.

Too often new knowledge and breakthroughs exist, but do not reach the patients that will benefit in a timely and reliable manner. To change this, we have been engaging teams of clinicians, researchers and patients.

Together we are learning our way to new methods of research and improvement that involve and engage those at the front line to solve the problems that are the most pressing to our patients and families.

Approximately ten years into this journey we are seeing positive trends and results. This talk will share both the general approach and specific examples.

Date: 30 May 2017, 12.00-1.00pm

Venue: Seminar room, Level 1, 75 Talavera Road, Macquarie University
