The Nelune Cancer Grand Rounds will continue in 2013 as a monthly multidisciplinary forum for all staff, services, departments involved in cancer care on the Randwick campus, and interested researchers and clinicians from the TCRN membership. The School of Public Health and Community Medicine will hold a 'biostatistics and quantitative research methods seminar' on 12 September, 2013.

A/Professor Freddy Sitas from the Cancer Council NSW will be speaking at it on the topic “The New South Wales Cancer, Lifestyle and Evaluation of Risk Study ("CLEAR"):  A resource for cancer research- description of methodology.”

In 2013 the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA) will hold its Annual Scientific Meeting, Blood, Biomarkers and Beyond in Melbourne, from 1st-2nd August.

The Scientific Program for the meeting will explore important current issues and themes including biomarkers as tools for screening, diagnosis and treatment; translational Biomarker issues; practical aspects of biomarker development; future approaches as well as applications in translational research, drug development, research and clinical practice.
